A Lamborghini Gallardo with a twin-turbo 5.2-litre V10 capable of producing an astounding 1500 horsepower, converted into a Time Attack car, will be one of the cars to watch at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival.

The car started life as a Gallardo GT3 R-EX (the last one Reiter Engineering built before the Huracán era). The R-EX now runs a twin-turbocharged V10 producing 1500 horsepower with massive aero.

It will be driven by Alex Rullo, former Supercars driver turned Australian Rally Championship contender. Rullo claimed third outright in the Pro class at the World Time Attack Challenge in Sydney in 2025, in the car’s debut event. Rullo will drive the car in the GT Style category at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival, alongside his father Peter Rullo who will be driving a Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 with racing history in America and Australia.

The R-EX was built in conjunction with Specialised Racing Solutions Perth and is run by IntelliSpatial Fleetcare Racing, which also campaigns the Hyundais the Rullos drive in the Australian Rally Championship.

The 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again feature various categories, ranging from Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars, sportscars, touring cars, motorbikes, drift cars and more with the action non-stop without a break in track activity at any stage of the day. Off track there will be car displays, kids' zones, bars and food trucks, exhibitors and traders, activations and more, in a picnic in the park setting.
