Ten-time grand prix winner Valtteri Bottas will drive a Ferrari Formula 1 car for the first time at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival on Sunday March 1, a week before he returns to the Formula 1 grid driving in the debut of the Ferrari-powered Cadillac Formula 1 team.Â

The Adelaide Motorsport Festival ambassador returns to the event in 2026, getting behind the wheel of a Ferrari 156/85 from the 1985 Formula 1 season – the first that featured the Australian Grand Prix in Adelaide. Bottas will drive the #27 156/85 that was raced in period by fellow Formula 1 winner Michele Alboreto, alongside Stefan Johnasson who will drive his own #28 156/85 in the demonstration session at 1:45pm on Sunday March 1.Â
Bottas returns to the Formula 1 grid with the new Cadillac Formula 1 team in 2026, with the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne the week after the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival. After racing against Scuderia Ferrari throughout his Formula 1 career, the drive in the 1985 Ferrari will be a first for the Finnish 10-time grand prix winner.Â
Bottas will also drive a V8-powered big-block Holden HQ Monaro in an expression demonstration session at 11:30am on Sunday March 1. Off track, Bottas will also be meeting fans in the Adelaide Marriott Grand Marquee - the place where attendees can see, hear from and meet the stars of the Adelaide Motorsport Festival. Â
The 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again feature various categories, ranging from Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars, sportscars, touring cars, motorbikes, drift cars and more with the action non-stop without a break in track activity at any stage of the day. Off track there will be car displays, kids' zones, bars and food trucks, exhibitors and traders, activations and more, in a picnic in the park setting.
