Valtteri Bottas to blow the tyres off big-block Monaro at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival

Honorary South Australian Valtteri Bottas will channel his Aussie persona with an expression demonstration session in a V8-powered Holden HQ Monaro - a quintessential Australian muscle car - at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival on Sunday March 1.

The Adelaide Motorsport Festival ambassador will be back at the event in 2026, a week before he returns to the Formula 1 grid at the season-opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne with the new Cadillac Formula 1 team.

Bottas’ expression demonstration session in the Monaro will take place at 11:30am on Sunday March 1. The big-block V8-powered HQ Monaro has over 1000 horsepower and is a well-known drag car that has run sub-nine-second quarter mile times. The crowd can expect to see Bottas do power skids in the Monaro, billowing smoke across the event site.

Bottas will also be driving a Formula 1 car at the event, with the details to be confirmed at a later date. 

Off track, Bottas will also be meeting fans in the Adelaide Marriott Grand Marquee. The Adelaide Marriott Grand Marquee is the place where attendees can see, hear from and meet the stars of the Adelaide Motorsport Festival, and it’s open to all ticketholders.  

The 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again feature various categories, ranging from Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars, sportscars, touring cars, motorbikes, drift cars and more with the action non-stop without a break in track activity at any stage of the day. Off track there will be car displays, kids' zones, bars and food trucks, exhibitors and traders, activations and more, in a picnic in the park setting.
