Valtteri Bottas got behind the wheel of a Leyton House CG891 Judd at the 2024 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival, marking the first time he has driven a Formula 1 car at the former home of the Australian Grand Prix in Adelaide.
Bottas also drove a Holden VK Commodore Group A touring car and Brabham BT62 sportscar, grabbing a late opportunity to drive the Adrian Newey-designed Leyton House that was raced in the 1989 Formula 1 season at the 2024 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival.
Bottas went out on the track in the Leyton House alongside Australian motorsport legend Craig Lowndes, who drove a 1988 Arrows A10B Megatron, replicating their time on track together at the 2023 Adelaide Motorsport Festival when Lowndes shared the track with Bottas as the latter drove the 2016 Bathurst-winning Holden VF Commodore.
Bottas in a Leyton House was amongst a host of highlights at the 2024 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival, including Guenther Steiner getting a ride in a Ford Mustang Supercar alongside James Courtney; Liam Lawson driving the Ford SuperVan 4.2, Rodin FZED and Porsche 962C; nine original Bathurst winners in the PremiAir Hire Bathurst winners' category; Damon Hill returning to Adelaide for the first time since winning the 1995 Australian Grand Prix; David Croft sharing the stage with Bottas in the Grand Marquee; and so much more.
