Stefan Johansson behind the wheel of the Yokohama Ford Sierra RS500

Stefan Johansson got behind the wheel of the Yokohama Ford Sierra RS500 at the 2025 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival.

The Swede, who raced in Formula 1, IndyCar and more and won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, was scheduled to drive the Sierra RS500 alongside owner/driver Andrew Miedecke in Japan in 1989, though a crash for Miedecke at the Australian Grand Prix Group A support race in Adelaide before Japan prevented Johansson and Miedecke from entering the event.

Fast forward to 2025 and Johansson and Miedecke reunited at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival, with that very same Yokohama Sierra also at the event. Miedecke offered Johansson a drive of the Sierra, in a full circle moment for the drivers and car.
