The on-track action is non-stop without a break in track activity at any stage of the two days of the event from the first session at 8:30am to the last session at 5:30pm.
New for 2026 is the return of dedicated categories for V8 Supercars – 5L Touring Cars and V8 Supercars presented by Eggleston Motorsport; a Historic Sports & Racing category for vintage open-wheelers and sportscars from the 1950s and 1960s; and an American Muscle category for NASCARs, TransAms, TA2s and more.
Every category will be on track twice each day of the event, aside from Formula 1 which will have three sessions per day due to popular demand.
The ‘Ten of the Best Shootout’ returns following its popular addition in 2025, pitting a selection of sportscars and hypercars (exclusively for tin-tops) in a race against the clock to determine the fastest.
Demonstration sessions include New Zealand drifting legend Mad Mike Whiddett making his long-awaited Adelaide Motorsport Festival debut with his rotary-powered McLaren P1 hypercar, MADMAC. There will be various other demonstration sessions featuring the star cars and drivers attending the event, which will be announced at a later date.
The Repco Circuit Safari returns, allowing lucky guests and fans to be in a bus on track alongside a selection of race cars.
