Penrite Mercedes Supercar set to roar at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival

The race-winning Penrite-backed Erebus Motorsport Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Supercar, one of the most unique V8 Supercars of the modern era, will be back on track with Bathurst winner Will Davison at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival on February 28 and March 1.

Penrite Oil Australia will bring the special piece of Supercars history to the Adelaide Motorsport Festival. Penrite owns the car, chassis number #SBR25-EM-03-12, as raced by Erebus Motorsport in the 2013, 2014 and 2015 seasons.

The E63 is in the original Penrite 90th anniversary retro livery as raced by Davison at the Sydney 500 in 2015 – the last race for the Mercedes cars in Supercars. It will be the first public appearance for the car in 10 years.

Davison drove the car to victory in Perth in 2015 – one of two wins for the Mercedes in Supercars. Fitted with the AMG custom-designed and manufactured five-litre version of the M156 6.2-litre V8, it was the first Supercar engine to feature a flat plane crankshaft, characterised by its unique deep exhaust growl.

Davison, a two-time Bathurst 1000 winner and Adelaide 500 winner, raced the E63 across the 2014 and 2015 seasons. Davison makes his Adelaide Motorsport Festival debut in 2026, driving the E63 in the V8 Supercars category at the event. He and the car will also be appearing in the Adelaide Marriott Grand Marquee.  

The 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again feature various categories, ranging from Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars, sportscars, touring cars, motorbikes, drift cars and more with the action non-stop without a break in track activity at any stage of the day. Off track there will be car displays, kids' zones, bars and food trucks, exhibitors and traders, activations and more, in a picnic in the park setting.
