A five-foot bronze sculpture designed by UK-based renowned motorsport artist Paul Oz celebrating the late, great Ayrton Senna – three-time Formula 1 world champion who scored his 41st and last grand prix win in Adelaide in 1993 – was unveiled publicly at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival.

The Senna infinity sculpture is based on a 3D scan of the 1993 Goodyear race tyre, revealed publicly at the location of Senna’s last race win in Formula 1 and last race of McLaren.
The unveiling was attended by the Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Dr. Jane Lomax-Smith AM, and three former Formula 1 drivers with close ties to Senna – Thierry Boutsen, Stefan Johansson and Martin Donnelly.
Boutsen, winner of the 1989 Australian Grand Prix in Adelaide, was amongst Senna’s closest friends and was a pallbearer at Senna’s funeral. Johannson, a podium finisher at the 1986 Australian Grand Prix in Adelaide, was Senna’s teammate in the latter’s rookie season in 1984. Donnelly’s career was cut short by injuries sustained at the 1990 Spanish Grand Prix, with his close friend Senna amongst the first on the scene of Donnelly’s accident.
Also attending the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival are Mika Häkkinen, two-time Formula 1 world champion who was Senna’s teammate at the 1993 Australian Grand Prix, and David Coulthard, two-time Australian Grand Prix winner, who made his Formula 1 debut in place of Senna following the latter’s passing in 1994.
The Adelaide Motorsport Festival celebrates all forms of motoring and motorsport – a museum in motion, displaying historic, rare and significant racing vehicles on the Victoria Park section of the Adelaide Street Circuit, which hosted the Australian Grand Prix from 1985 to 1995.
