The very last Supercar raced by two-time champion and Supercars Hall of Famer Marcos Ambrose, the #17 XBOX DJR Team Penske Falcon FG X, will be back on track at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival on February 28 and March 1.

The FG X Falcon was driven by Ambrose alongside Scott Pye in the 2015 Gold Coast 600, which was Ambrose’s last start in Supercars after his return to Australia with DJR Team Penske following a nine-year stint racing in NASCAR.

The car was also raced by Ambrose in Shell Helix colours at the 2015 Adelaide 500 and Pye in several rounds that season, when Ambrose had stepped out of the full-time drive and handed over to Pye. Ambrose and Pye then teamed up in the endurance events that season, running in XBOX colours on the Gold Coast for Ambrose’s last race start.

The car raced on with Pye at DJR Team Penske in 2016 and then with Todd Hazelwood at Matt Stone Racing in 2018 before it moved into the Super2 Series. The car was then purchased by Tickford to run as part of their Super2 Series program. After being retired from Super2, Tickford identified the important history of the chassis. They completed a full nut and bolt restoration and presented the car back to its 2015-spec XBOX livery. Then Tickford chairman, Chris Stillwell, bought the car after being so impressed by the quality of the restoration progress carried out in the Tickford workshop under the careful eye of team manager, Matty Roberts.

It will be on track in the V8 Supercars category at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival, alongside the likes of the 2016 Bathurst 1000-winning STIX Holden VF Commodore, the Penrite-backed Erebus Motorsport Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Supercar and more.

The 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival also features Marcos Ambrose’s NASCAR Cup Series race-winning Ford Fusion in the American Muscle category, with Ambrose’s daughter Tabitha Ambrose set to get behind the wheel of the Fusion.

The 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again feature various categories, ranging from Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars, sportscars, touring cars, motorbikes, drift cars and more with the action non-stop without a break in track activity at any stage of the day. Off track there will be car displays, kids' zones, bars and food trucks, exhibitors and traders, activations and more, in a picnic in the park setting.
