One of the most powerful and dominant race cars ever built, the Porsche 917/30, will be one the star attractions at the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival on February 28 and March 1.

The Porsche 917/30 dominated the 1973 Can-Am season, with Penske Racing’s Mark Donohue winning six out of eight races. Despite Can-Am being a no-holds-barred series with almost no restrictions on engine displacement or power, the success of the Porsche 917/30 forced subsequent rule changes that effectively banned the car.
The legendary Porsche features a 5.4-litre twin-turbocharged flat-12 engine, producing 1100 horsepower in race trim and 1500 horsepower in qualifying trim. Weighing just 820kg, the 917/30 set a then closed-course speed record of 356.44 km/h (221.16 mph) at Talladega in 1975.
Only six Porsche 917/30s were built, with chassis number five the car heading to the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival. It will be on track across both days of the event on February 28 and March 1.
Tickets to the 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival are on sale now, with early bird pricing available across all ticket types for a limited time only - 2025 prices for 2026.
The 2026 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again feature various categories, ranging from Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars, sportscars, touring cars, motorbikes, drift cars and more with the action non-stop without a break in track activity at any stage of the day. Off track there will be car displays, kids' zones, bars and food trucks, exhibitors and traders, activations and more, in a picnic in the park setting.
