Held the week prior to the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix, the Adelaide Motorsport Festival is a museum in motion, displaying historic, rare and significant racing vehicles in the Adelaide Park Lands and beyond. The event is a major event supported by the State Government of South Australia as an important part of the Malinauskas Labour Government's Motorsport Policy.

Adelaide’s motorsport pedigree is unmatched, and the Adelaide Motorsport Festival brings together the cream of automotive history and heritage with the latest in go-fast tech, all in a picnic races setting around a section of the iconic Adelaide F1 Grand Prix track.

The action at AMF is fast, furious and frequently changing, with a different category of vehicles on track every 10-15 minutes, from historic Formula One cars to fire-breathing time attack weapons.


With 14 categories competing in the Victoria Park Sprint, plus unorthodox, unusual and unique demonstration sessions, there’s something to surprise and delight every car lover.

AMF combines high-octane action on-track with a laid back picnic races atmosphere off-track.


Enjoy fine local food, with beer, wine and spirits from local producers on the shady lawns, browse the trade stalls and check out the static displays of cars and motorcycles.

As the sun goes down, AMF lights up. Party into the night with DJs and live acts providing a sizzling summer soundtrack to the visual spectacular of Drift Cars on track, Show cars, Hot rods and more which will feature in this twilight event based adjacent the AMF circuit.

Pop-up bars and street food trucks will keep you refuelled as you party into the night.

E-Motion Zone

Get a glimpse of the future of motorsport and more. E-Motion Zone brings together the latest in electric vehicle technology for the street, track and beyond.

With interactive displays, on-track demonstrations you will discover the way in which we will all be moving in years to come.


Street Party

The Adelaide Motorsport Festival rolls into the city’s upmarket bar and  restaurant precinct for the annual Street Party on the Friday night. The night begins with the Peak Hour of Power – a high-powered parade of exotic, wild and rare vehicles that runs from Victoria Park through the city following , the original Adelaide Grand Prix Circuit route of East Terrace  before arriving at Stag Corner/Rundle Road. The event gives e green flag to a massive weekend of motorsport. 
Features live music, celebrity driver appearances and pop-up bars creating a fun and festive atmosphere.


AMF is fun for kids of all ages. 

There’s plenty to keep young motorsport fans amused – dodgem cars, kart racing, drifting simulators, show rides and more!


Plus of course there are so many cars to see on and off the track, trade displays and entertainment, there's something for the whole family.
