The current British touring car champion Jake Hill will drive Australian touring car champion Marcos Ambrose’s NASCAR-winning Ford Fusion in a special demonstration at 1:15pm on Sunday March 9 at the 2025 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival.

Hill, winner of the 2024 British Touring Car Championship, will get to experience American muscle by driving the Ford Fusion NASCAR with which Ambrose claimed victories in the NASCAR Cup Series races at Watkins Glen in 2011 and 2012. Hill will be on track in the Fusion alongside Supercars race winner Tim Slade, who will be driving a Skoal Bandit Chevrolet Lumina NASCAR.
The NASCAR demonstration will be in addition to the NASCAR category, new for the Adelaide Motorsport Festival in 2025, featuring the Fusion, Lumina and other American stock cars.
Hill will also be driving the Shadow MKI Mosport in the Can-Am category in addition to the Shadow DN6B Formula 5000 in the Tipo F1 category, with the contingent of Shadow Can-Ams making their first appearances in Australia following on from their starring demonstrations at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Slade, an Adelaide Motorsport Festival ambassador, will be driving the Leyton House Porsche 962C in the Le Mans category, the Brabham BT62 in the Hypercar category and the Skoal Bandit Chevrolet Lumina in the NASCAR category.
The 2025 Repco Adelaide Motorsport Festival will once again feature various categories, ranging from Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars, sportscars, touring cars, motorbikes and more with the action non-stop without a break in track activity at any stage of the day. Off track there will be car displays, kids' zones, bars and food trucks, exhibitors and traders, activations and more, in a picnic in the park setting.
